About this project
Beach Messages was inspired by a whale-watching trip Rosemary had taken in the Summer of 2022 off the coast of Sandy Hook, NJ. Seeing whales was a bucket-list dream, but watching the the ocean water rushing along the side of the boat and how the light hit the peaks of the waves also captured her attention. She took a few videos of this and started playing around with the idea of layering. Not long after she had a theme and started creating a collection. Most of the messages were written on the beaches of Coney Island, New York.
